Application Process Discovery Academy strives for a diverse student population. Discovery's students are respectful, are engaged in a variety of interests and activities, and are encouraged by the School to be involved in the many facets of school life, including academics, athletics, community service and school excursions. Traditional entrance levels are grade 9. We do, however, review applications for all grade levels and admit successful applicants when space becomes available in non-traditional entry grades.
Following are the steps every family should take when applying to Discovery:
1. Request the prospectus and application package.
2. Learn more about Discovery.
3. Submit an application to the Office of Admission.
When an application is received, our Admission Assistant will make contact to book an interview and, when appropriate, to arrange an academic assessment for the applicant.
An essential part of the admission procedure for all applicants to the School is a personal meeting with a parent or guardian and the Principal of the school.
